The festival really got into its stride last night, with two brilliant events. With the sun shining in the sky, we go into Super Saturday, where we have everything from literature walks, railway history, a maharajah at Whitby and a broadcasting legend.
10.30: Arts and Literature Walk with Catherine Welch, free event, meet near the White Lodge Hotel
Noon: The History of the Hull to Scarborough Railway with David Keeton. Another free event at the Evron Centre Concert Hall
1.30pm: The Golden Age of Yorkshire Resorts with Dr George Sheeran. Tickets £5, there will be pay on the door available at the Evron Centre Concert Hall
3.00pm: The History of the British Seaside in 100 Objects with Dr Kathryn Ferry. Tickets just £5, there will be pay on the door at the Evron Centre Concert Hall
7.30pm: The Songs the Beatles Gave Away with ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris and Colin Hall. This event is SOLD OUT
Throughout Saturday and Sunday Kemps bookshop of Malton will be running a pop up book shop in the foyer of the Evron Centre, featuring books from the majority of our authors.
